Sitka Community Wilderness Stewardship Featured by International Year of the Forest

The Sitka Conservation Society is one of the National Forest Foundation’s conservation partners in Alaska.  They conduct intensive backcountry expeditions during the summer months to collect monitoring data, bringing SCS staff and volunteers deep into the Alaskan landscape by boat, on foot, and by float plane.  Check out these videos for a glimpse into the stunning scenery of Southeast Alaska, and to learn more about their stewardship work on the Tongass…
